Transferring your XSplit license to a VideoCom Pro plan

XSplit Capture, XSplit Presenter, and XSplit Cloud will be discontinued on 1st February 2023. The good news is that VideoCom will continue the Capture, Presenter, and Cloud product lines.

What is VideoCom?

VideoCom is a brand-new platform for creating and sharing high-quality videos and screen captures with ease. We’ve taken the apps you know and love and have spent time the last few months making a whole host of improvements and adjustments. We’ve also been working hard on our other offerings such as our Cloud platform to provide more powerful features and to make it easier than ever to share.

Upgrade eligibility

As part of the migration, you'll be able to upgrade to a VideoCom Pro plan based on your current XSplit license. VideoCom Pro plans are separate than XSplit licenses, meaning that claiming a VideoCom plan will not cancel your ongoing XSplit license.

To be eligible for the VideoCom Apps Pro - Lifetime plan, you must have the following:

Have an XSplit Premium Lifetime bundle (that includes XSplit Presenter and Capture)
Have used XSplit Capture or Presenter at least once

To be eligible for the VideoCom Pro plan, you must have the following:

Have a 1 month or 12 months XSplit Premium bundle (that includes XSplit Presenter and Capture)
Have an app-specific license (i.e. XSplit Presenter license)

VideoCom Presenter allows you to connect your existing presentation files from PowerPoint, Google Slides, and PDFs via the Connect Presentation Menu.

Adding sources to your presentation

Personalize your slides and make them feel more dynamic by adding cameras, videos, images and other elements to your presentation. These elements can be added as Presenter slides by going to the Add Slide Menu, or via the Overlay Element Menu to add them as an overlay within an existing slide.

There are two ways to start your capture. One is clicking the VideoCom Capture icon in your system tray and selecting Start Capture.

| Another way to start capturing is by pressing a hotkey. By default, the set keys to start your capture are CTRL + Print Screen keys. The hotkey can be changed according to your preference in the VideoCom Capture Hotkeys settings.

A prompt will ask you to take a screenshot or start recording a video.

Choosing either of them will then let you smart-select an application window, a portion of the screen, or the whole desktop screen to capture.

VideoCom Presenter - Settings

VideoCom Presenter allows you to customize your experience through settings to further enhance and personalize how the app works for you.

How to resolve Intel driver incompatibility issues

There are known incompatibility issues on systems with Intel Graphics using driver versions 100.9953 to 101.2079 which can cause VideoCom Presenter to become unresponsive.

How do I fix this?

Updating your Intel graphics driver to the latest version will resolve fix this issue. Please follow the steps below:

Click here and download the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) tool.

Run the installer and complete the installation process.

Go to Start, look up Intel Driver & Support Assistant, then run the app.

This should open up a new browser window. Here you can check if there's an option to download the latest Intel Graphics driver for your system.

How do I migrate my media from XSplit Cloud to VideoCom Cloud

Introduction

XSplit Cloud will be taken down in the near future. To ensure you don't lose the content you've created, you'll need to move it to VideoCom. Below are instructions on how you can do that.

How to move your media from XSplit Cloud to VideoCom Cloud

First, make sure you're logged in to https://cloud.xsplit.com
For each media file you wish to migrate, click the vertical ellipsis button
From the dropdown, click the download button

Download the media from the dropdown

Once you've downloaded all of the media files you want, you'll need to sign up or sign in to VideoCom Cloud
You can either drag the files you wish to upload from a folder on your computer, or you can press the "➕New" button and then click Upload Media

Click "➕New" and then "Upload Media"

Simply select and upload the files you wish to transfer.
